We’re back with a special event – a show which combines a topic we’ve long wanted to tackle with a debut of a documentary on it! We’re also heading to the legendary Hollywood Improv Comedy Club’s Lab stage to do it.
The issue of free speech on college campuses has been thrust into the spotlight over and over again, with recent violent clashes over a speaker at Middlebury College following, well, recent violent clashes over a speaker at UC Berkeley and more.
Are students censoring free speech and limiting ideas? Or are these speakers promoting dangerous, hateful ideologies that deserve to be shut down? Where is the line?
Unsafe Space, the show where comedians do standup on controversial topics followed by a discussion with experts and the audience, returns to take these issues head-on in its first show at the legendary Hollywood Improv.
The event will also feature the debut of Silence U Part 2, the sequel to last year’s mini-documentary “Silence U: Is the University Killing Free Speech and Open Debate?” from We the Internet TV, which was featured in USA Today and watched over 400,000 times.
Unsafe Space hosts Lou Perez and Toby Muresianu will join filmmaker Rob Montz, USC law professor Jody Armour and Jenny Yang of MTV’s Beyond the Wall, Nathan Mosher of UCLA’s Roadkill Comedy Show.
It’ll be a can’t miss show and we hope to see you all there! Plus, it’s only $5 – so get your tickets now!
